The end of bipartisan politics

It's simple, but it's going to take work.  Bipartisan politics and corporate campaign contributions are at the heart of what is pushing culture politics to the forefront.  Eliminate these and it will eliminate the attacks on women, minorities, and LGBTQIA+.  Donald Trump became president because of the economy.   As many have pointed out, we sold our soul for cheaper groceries and gas.  Republicans and Democrats benefit from a system that rewards them for doing nothing to fix the actual problem.

All of this starts at a state level, but we are going to take this movement national.  The plan is broken down into phase I and phase II.

State level referendums.  Even state level initiatives are going to be challenged and they aren't going to be successful.  Of course our goal is to pass them.  However, even if they get challenged and overturned we are showcasing the will of the people and that is going to change minds.

Citizens United was the downfall of our democracy.  If we're not successful in fighting back against it, nothing will ever change.  So how do we fight it?  According to The Center for Public Integrity, 66% of Republicans and 85% of Democrats back a constitutional amendment outlawing Citizens United.  Check out what Maine did just this election.  We need to replicate this in every state.  https://apnews.com/article/maine-referendum-super-pac-donation-limits-dccfd8f49c4337b1d9e7053a0e3a4fef

Whether you are Democrat or Republican, you know the middle-class workers are getting short changed?  How do we change that?  Tax corporations more?  Form unions?  Raise the minimum wage?  Yes and no.  According to the Pew Research Center, 66% of Americans favor raising the minimum wage.  According to Gallup News 71% of Americans support unions.  While there have been successes and we applaud these movements, it is not enough and in red states these statistics drop rapidly.  At a state level we will advocate for constitutional amendments and referendums that focus on fair pay.

It starts with going after corporations and large companies in those states.  Are we going to do that through taxing corporations,?  Again, yes and no.  Any company that resides in that state will pay a minimum tiered rate to their employees based on the company earnings and executive officer pay.  If they do not, they will be forced to pay an extra percentage above that dollar amount in state tax.

All representatives in and for the state will be limited to no more than two consecutive terms.  This includes both Federal House and Senate seats.

We will seek to replace the outdated 2 year process for referendums.  The people of the United States need to be heard from and listened to much more often than every 2 years.

As we grow our referendum process, we only promote candidates that will enshrine a process for federal referendums.  Our goal will be to pass every piece of legislation named above at a federal level.  There will also be a few additions.

The supreme court has led to the controversial decisions that have rocked the very core of our democratic principals.  They do not reflect the will of the people and have become susceptible to corporate interests and partisanship.  We will work to promote a code of ethics and limit them to two terms just like every other elected official.

We need to give the power back to the people of each and every state.  This is the only way to enshrine our rights in a free and fair democracy.
